Have you ever read a fantasy book where something happens to the main characters and your inner troll chuckles while your thinking "the God of this universe has a great sense of humor"? That's what gaming with James is like. A steady hand with new players, a fair and common sense judge of the rules, mixed with just a little bit of "gotcha!".
The game brings back a lot of memories of when I played in college. I get to campaign with old friends and new. The game is really good. Half the fun is trying to figure out what you want in the game and going for it. The other half is interacting with the other players through the game and outside of it. All at the same time. If it weren't for family and friends (who unfortunately aren't interested in playing) trying to take away my only time to play I would get to play more often.
I've been curious about role playing but couldn't coordinate times with my friends to play. When I found James and saw he offered games for single people I jumped at the chance to play. My son played his first role playing adventure with James and he had a blast! He was able to use his creativity and the game really captivated his attention. When I think of D&D I have to think of my favorite campaigns of all time. They were run by this man James. He has a way of bringing a story to life that feels like you are Frodo (LOTR) or Rand(Wheel of Time) starting out on their epic quests. I am honored to be apart of any campaign he runs from D&D to Marvel to Super Spies all have been told with grace and so much fun.
